If you do oversized or overweight loads and use the Peace Bridge in New York, then you have to read this! Due to construction, the Peace Bridge will be CLOSED to oversized and overweight loads from October 15, 2018, to May 15, 2019.
The Peace Bridge is undergoing a major rehabilitation project, and it ‘s entering into its final stage in October. Due to lane closures, the bridge will not be able to accommodate oversize or weight vehicles. This means any vehicle requiring an over-dimensional permit! All other traffic will still be able to cross normally.
Carriers who do use the Peace Bridge and haul oversized and overweight should start planning to use alternate routes for October.
