All Oversize/Overweight offices in Ontario will be closed November 22, 2013 in order to service you better.
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation is modernizing they way you get oversize and overweight permits. The new Oversize/Overweight (O/O) permit solution is called “PRIO” or Permitting and Registration for International Registration Plan and Oversize/Overweight. The MTO will begin implementation on November 25, 2013 starting with an upgrade to Ministry software which will give PRIO access to Ministry staff first then in the near future to the public online. In addition, all offices that previously processed permits will be centralized in St Catharines making that the only office processing permits for the province. The MTO hopes these improvements will streamline the process of obtaining O/O permits and make doing business in Ontario easier.

If you need to move this, you better get your permit today.
In preparation for the November 25, 2013 implementation of PRIO all ministry O/O office will be CLOSED on Friday November 22, 2013. As a result of this closure carriers may wish to submit applications for O/O earlier in order to make sure you get your permits in time. As well, from recent experience with the IRP upgrade earlier this spring changes do not always go smoothly and there maybe delays once the system goes live.
Please note as of November 25, 2013 the only office in Ontario to issue O/O permits will be St Catherines.
If you have questions about the centralization of the O/O Permit Program please contact Patrick Mallen at patrick.mallen@ontario.ca
