Truckers driving in New York can breathe a bit easier. The state of New York announced this week they are axing their proposed 45% increase in toll fares. The state plans to use several different cost saving measures to the trim the 2013 budget.
New York Highway Use Tax reminder
Truckers are also reminded that their New York Highway Use Tax (HUT)and Automotive Fuel Carrier credentials (AFC) must be renewed for 2013. Returning this year is the requirement to place a sticker on qualifying vehicles.
